Press Release – CryptoAngels Ordinals

OG Crypto Artist Trevor Jones Unveils Groundbreaking Ordinals Collection

From physical artworks, digital art, Castle Parties and now Ordinals, Trevor Jones debuts his genesis BTC collection, the CryptoAngels

Trevor Jones, a leading artist in Web3, recently announced his latest and most ambitious collection yet, the CryptoAngels. Painting Bitcoin themed artworks since late 2017, this newest collection is inspired by his Bitcoin Angel, with the open edition selling in 2021 for a record breaking 4,158 editions for $3.2M in just seven minutes. Since this sale, Jones has built a strong community and brand around his work and the Bitcoin Angel motif, including annual Castle Parties focused on art, culture, and charity.

Breaking down this latest collection into two main stages, Archangels and CryptoAngels, Jones sold out the first stage for 87.9 ETH ($335,291). These 21 collector packages included a physical bronze sculpture depicting the classic Bitcoin Angel, a 3D avatar NFT, and an Archangel Ordinal. Collectors from this auction include ModeratsArt, Batsoupyum, Bharat Krymo, Blondie23LMD and 1Confirmation, who now are now among the 21 leaders of Stage 02, the CryptoAngel Army.

On August 7th the second wave of the collection will be available to mint via OrdinalsBot. A total of 7,777 CryptoAngels, unique in appearance and each personally named by Jones, will first be available to mint via whitelist. Based on the constellation symbol on their shields, these 7,777 CryptoAngels have been divided into 21 cohorts each correlating with one of the Archangel collectors from Stage 01 of the drop, creating sub-communities within the collection. There will also be seven very special 1/1 CryptoAngels unaligned with any Archangel, making them exceptionally rare.

“I’ve been personally invested in Bitcoin since mid-2017 and the ethos of it quickly inspired me on my crypto art journey. I’ve been following the growth of Ordinals since its inception and the CryptoAngels collection is my offering to a community that has welcomed me with open arms and an opportunity to bring my Bitcoin Angel motif to the chain where it was always meant to be,” said artist Trevor Jones.

“Bitcoin OG artist Trevor Jones behind the Bitcoin Angels dropping Ordinals on the immutable chain is a match made in crypto native art heaven.”

Bharat Krymo (@krybharat – Archangel Collector)

“The Bitcoin Angel oil painting from 2018 is one of the earliest cryptoart homages to Bitcoin, so CryptoAngels on Ordinals is a natural extension of Trevor’s artistic journey”

In addition to the collection, 21 angels will be available to mint for $7 each on Base for a limited time only. Collectors can play with these digital collectables in Dante’s Pixel Inferno, a retro arcade style video game. This exclusive CryptoAngels video game challenges players to guide their angel through the Nine Circles of Fiat Hell—where they can collect bitcoins and earn other rewards. Each angel boasts unique abilities and weapons.

Whitelist opportunities are only available via community partnerships, to holders of Trevor’s Bitcoin Angel OE and Ascended Angels, and through weekly giveaways.
