Set against a backdrop of a Los Angeles engulfed in chaos and flames ‘Superhero’ presents an uncompromising statement challenging the abuse of authority by those sworn to ‘protect and serve’.

Once again, the AI is utilised taking the AK-47 to construct the figure of Ice Cube. The symbolic potency of a firearm magazine provides the underlying message. Here, Cube is constructed entirely from assault rifles, a man rebuilt into a weapon with seemingly an infinite supply of fire and fury.

An uncompromising portrait of an uncompromising individual ‘Superhero’ powerfully presents the life and experiences of Ice Cube with a save ourselves mentality set against a backdrop of civil unrest. The portrait is not simply the depiction of an alter-ego but the transformation of Ice Cube into a symbol of resistance and defiance; the adversary of the Establishment.
